RDA Goldfields Esperance supports the region through a series of projects and sponsorships which we feel align with our strategic priorities for the region.

NOT-FOR-PROFIT GOVERNANCE TRAINING

RDA Goldfields Esperance are offering not-for-profit governance training in your region. This training is aimed at current and prospective Board/Committee Members of incorporated clubs and associations e.g. sports clubs, school boards/P&Fs, CRCs, grower groups, RBGs, aged care, child care etc.

We believe that building community capacity is crucial to the development of the Goldfields Esperance region. By investing in governance skillsets, we can empower our community members to take charge and drive positive change. We want to start a ripple effect leading to greater economic growth and a stronger sense of community for our region.

Esperance Ravensthorpe Leadership Initiative

Celebrating Leadership and Community

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Goldfields Esperance are proud to have run the Esperance Ravensthorpe Leadership Initiative (ERLI) again in 2024 – with our third cohort of 16 participants successfully completing the program in Esperance. Congratulations to each of you on completing this incredibly challenging journey of personal and professional development.

Thank you to our project sponsors Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission and Esperance Chamber of Commerce and Industry, our project delivery partner South Regional TAFE and especially all of the community members (businesses and individuals) who have supported the project.

Our mission for the ERLI program is to empower our local leaders through fostering growth, building confidence, providing skills development opportunities, and strengthening community relationships – all taking place right here in our local region. We have a vision that the Goldfields-Esperance region is the place where everyone lives and thrives together; and we are taking action to see this vision realised.

ERLI 2024 evolved significantly from its previous iterations (Future Leaders Program Esperance in 2021, Future Leaders Program Goldfields in 2022 and Esperance Ravensthorpe Leadership Initiative in 2023) as our team have taken on board feedback and learnt what works well and what can be improved. We worked closely with South Regional TAFE, to develop a new delivery style of six full day monthly workshops designed to balance professional development with accredited academic learning. This dual focus ensures that participants gain theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills that can immediately be applied within their professional lives and community roles.

Regional University Study hub SURVEY

A Regional University Study Hub is a ‘mini’ campus style facility which Australian tertiary students can attend offering access to computers, workstations, high speed internet, printing, private and group study spaces, student support services, fellow students, exam invigilation and more.

We are applying for funding which will enable us to establish a hub to provide these services free of charge for students!

Please complete our survey you (or on behalf of a minor) would potentially use a Study Hub – we would love your input!

The COMMERCE HUB

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Goldfields Esperance are proud to support KBCCI’s Commerce Hub initiative.

The Hub aims to create an engaging commercial space that supports the development of local business and enterprise. The Hub creates vibrancy and activation within the Kalgoorlie Central Business District (Kal City Centre).
